Ana Casanovas

Ana Casanovas - OsEAN Virtual International Student Day 2024  

In 2001 Ana graduated as a Physiotherapist in Barcelona and soon began studying Osteopathy at the Barcelona School of Osteopathy which collaborates with the European School of Osteopathy in England where she graduated in 2006.

Always passionate about working with osteopathy, she has continued training non-stop in her field and hase been a professor in the osteopathy master’s program at the Pompeu Fabra University and an assistant in numerous postgraduate courses since then.

Her fields of specialization are biodynamic cranio-sacral work, pediatrics, visceral work, work with patients with chronic pain, work with the fascia and the mind-body relationship through trauma work and mindfulness.

In 2013 Ana obtained her master’s degree as a yoga teacher and, although she does not teach private or group classes, she uses the knowledge of Yoga to work with her patients’ bodies, through body awareness, meditation and attentive movement.

In 2019 Ana completed a master’s degree in anatomy from the Bellvitge University of Medicine, in order to improve her knowledge of fascia and connective tissue in its clinical application.

She has been working in private consultations with patients in Barcelona, ​​Belgium and Formentera since 2001.

     
Andy Mansfield

Andy Mansfield - OsEAN Virtual International Student Day 2024  

After an apprenticeship as a Marine Engineer, Andy graduated from the European School of Osteopathy (ESO) in 2003 and was principal of The Wells Practice in Ilkley, West Yorkshire before moving south in 2014 and starting work in St James’s, London.
He started at Leaf Health in Hitchin, Hertfordshire, in 2020. It turns out that engineering is a perfect introduction to osteopathy, as the body works on integrated systems a similar way to ships!

Andy has lectured across Europe for the Osteopathie Schule Deutschland (OSD), and worked as a clinic tutor at the British College of Osteopathic Medicine (BCOM). He is now a lecturer on both the international and undergraduate courses at the ESO and BCOM, teaching Principles and Concepts, Evaluation and Treatment, from observation to technique.

Andy has previously developed courses in Articulation and Mobilisation for Massage Therapists and other body workers and has a particular interest in the classical principles and philosophy of Osteopathy. He is currently studying for a Fellowship of the Sutherland Cranial College of Osteopathy (SCCO).

Andy is qualified in Equine and Canine Osteopathy and lives in Hitchin with his wife and cats.

     
Walter McKone

Walter McKone - OsEAN Virtual International Student Day 2024   Walter Llewellyn McKone DO graduated from the British School of Osteopathy (UCO) in 1984 and is a member of the General Osteopathic Council, Royal Society of Medicine, and the International Society of Philosophers (UK).
He spent his early career as an osteopath in professional American Football and British Rugby alongside building his practice.
Walter lectures internationally on subjects such as the History of Philosophy and Science, the Osteopathic Method, Osteopathy and Cardiology (with Acute Respiratory Syndrome), the Cranial Vertebrae (Charlotte Weaver) and Osteopathic Diagnosis in Visceral Illness.
Publications include Osteopathic Medicine: Philosophy, Principles and Practice and Osteopathic Athletic Healthcare.

Robert Muts

Rob studeied Osteopathy in Belgium, Traditional Chinese Medicine, Homeopathy, Ayurveda and Integrative Medicine.
His specialty is osteopathy in the visceral field, peritoneum and nutrition.

He is the director of the College for Osteopathy Sutherland Amsterdam and the Academy of Mesology. Founder and director of the Integrated Medical Centre in Amsterdam, a centre for diagnosis and therapy in complementary health. Former and current president of Osteopathic European Academic Network

     
Jöry Pauwels

Jöry Pauwels Virtual International Student Day 2024   Jöry Pauwels (°1976) studied physiotherapy, manual therapy & education in teaching, continued at Fico, moving on from student to joint principal of Fico Osteopathy Academy & Fico MUM until 2023. In 2023 Jöry founded Osteon education, Moventum and WOMA at the Warsaw Academy of Medicine. Professionally Jöry is active at Osteon, (private & apprenticeship clinic), Hands with Heart and high-end physical sport. Jöry teaches in a number of countries on different continents on (osteopathic) treatment concepts, education, innovations in safe & efficient mid-range manipulations: fluid build-up & non-impulse techniques and on gynecology & obstetrics. As an active OsEAN board member, Jöry is operating on a European scale. Currently Jöry enjoys his 2 children, food & drink, telemarking (white slopes and majestic mountains), traditional karate (IOGKF), (motor)cycling, rugby and golf when recovering from previous activities. Mental tranquility is found in shooting & expeditions. Jöry’s mission for the future is to further the development of OsEAN & osteopathic teaching, the expansion of Osteon, Moventum & WOMA and being a father & Rotarian.
     
Elena Rodríguez Izquierdo

Elena Rodríguez Izquierdo - VISD 2024   Elena Rodríguez-Izquierdo physiotherapist and osteopath since 2016. Student of a Master of Epistemology in Sciences in Complutense University of Madrid. Manager of Clínica Ekara located in Madrid. Visceral teacher and clinical coordination in FBEO School.
     
Matteo Turinetto

Matteo Turinetto - Virtual International Student Day 2024   Matteo Turinetto is senior lecturer, clinical tutor and Didactic Coordinator for Full time and Part time program at Istituto Superiore di Osteopatia (ISO).
Graduating as DO, in 2002, from ISO with a Bachelor of Science in Osteopathy validated by the University of Wales, begun his activities as Osteopathic Medicine teacher assistant and lecturer at ISO till present.
From 2007 al 2014 was ISO’s Course Coordinator and actively participated the validation process with Bucks New University and developing BSc e MSc Full Time courses curricula.
In 2014 reinforce his educational competencies with the Postgraduate Certificate in Academic and Clinical Education taught by The British School of Osteopathy where in 2016 complete the Master of Science Degree in Osteopathy (MSc. Ost.). since 2016 he's the course leader of the Postgraduate Certificate in Academic and Clinical Education at ISO, validated by Bucks University.
