Students Research Award 2018

OsEAN Research Award has been introduced to the osteopathic community for the first time during the fifth OsEAN Open Forum “Teaching the Soft Skills” in Vienna, in April 2016.

For the second time, this year at the sixth OsEAN Open Forum - Conference "Teaching Osteopathic Diagnostics" in Lyon, France, nine students from four schools had the opportunity to compete for the OsEAN Research Award.

The winners are:

1st place won Alessandro FARINA (former student of SSOI/Italy) “Osteopathic Manipulative Therapy in chronic idiopathic constipation. Randomised pilot study

2nd place went to Elisa ZICCARDI (alumni of SSOI/Italy) “Osteopathic Manipulative Therapy in primary dysmenorrhea. Pilot study

3rd place was awarded to Tiffany TRUFFIER (alumni of CEESO Lyon/France) “Impact of osteopathic treatment on pregnant women whose fetus is in breech position.

Alessandro and Eliza have decided to donate their money prize to the research department of their school SSOI/Italy, so that future students can profit from their win.
