Open Forum "Cooperation in Osteopathic Education"
28.-29. November 2009, in Vienna, Austria
The program will contain presentations and discussions of cooperation projects and/or best practice in Osteopathic Education. Among the topic areas will be teacher training, research cooperation, students exchange programs or administrative cooperation.
During the past decade Osteopathy in Europe has been expanding at an enormous speed. There is a strong trend towards university validated courses, requiring a constant improvement of the quality of Osteopathic Education. Most schools are striving for growth and improvement on their own and with limited resources whereas cooperation and exchange can help us to learn from each other and take the profession to a new, academic level together.
Very positive projects in this sense in the past few years were the recent ERASMUS initiative by the Centre Européen d’Enseignement Supérieur d’Ostéopathie (CEESO) and the Conferences for Osteopathic Education hosted by the British school of Osteopathy (BSO) and the Osteopathic International Alliance (OIA), and we'd like to use the meeting in Vienna to take those initiatives a step further.
A detailed programme can be found under the menu item Conference Presentations.
OSEAN would also like to invite you to look into membership with our organization. Of course you are also welcome to participate in the Open Forum or in some of the cooperation projects, if you do not intend to become a member.
